Join us for the next instalment in the “Professionalism in Medicine” series brought to you by the RCPE Recently Appointed Consultants Committee.
Doctors have many valuable skills in demand in many settings. In the busy world of the NHS, doctors can still find opportunities to take their skills to new adventures. Join us to hear from three doctors about their experiences working beyond the NHS hospital, and how they combine this with their careers and routine clinical practice.

Working in Global Health within the NHS
- Gain an understanding of the career paths available in global health as an NHS Consultant and how to start the process
Expedition medicine and retrieval services
- Gain insight into what is involved in balancing a job in expedition medicine and NHS commitments
Humanitarian Medicine: What it is, and what it isn’t
- Understand what humanitarian medicine is and what it encompasses on a practical level
