It is with deep sadness we inform you of the passing of our President, Professor Adrian J B Brady. Adrian has been a long standing dedicated member of the Scottish Cardiac Society and served on Council prior to taking on the role of President.
Over the years he contributed to many of our spring / autumn meetings and other educational events, delivering lectures with his great sense of humour but with important learning for us all. Adrian was a leader in the field of cardiovascular medicine and will be sorely missed by everyone in the society and the global cardiology community.
We would like to extend our condolences to Adrian’s wife Una, his children Catriona, Jamie and Emma and his wider family Malcolm and Grace. The society Council and administrative support feel fortunate to have worked closely with him and have benefitted greatly from his passion for education, commitment and leadership and feel privileged to have known him.
