RCPE Evening Update: the 21st Century Consultant – looking to the future

This free evening update will look at the evolving role of the consultant, particularly relevant in this time of flux for the NHS. Talks will cover how to enhance your personal and professional development through reflection and appraisal, and how to seek out new roles and fulfil your potential.

  • Moving Into Management: the pros and cons, and how to develop the right skills and experience – Dr Jim Mackey, Chief Executive, NHS Improvement
  • Professional Success: how to use appraisal and revalidation to realise your perfect job- Mrs Janice Provan, Secondary Care Appraisal Lead, NHS Grampian

It is suitable for senior trainees and consultants who have gained their CCT in the last ten years.
